This morning I successfully made my own Soyabean Milk.
Ingredients: 1 packet of soyabean (soak for at least 6 hours)
Water
sugar 1 1/2 cup
2 pandan leaves, knotted
a pinch of salt
Soak soyabean and keep changing water to keep it clean. Drain the beans and gently rub off the skin. Separate soyabean in 3 batches and add equal amount of water and grind till fine. Strain and squeeze out the milk from the beans with a piece of muslin cloth. Mix in more water to the paste if necessary to make total 2 litres milk.
Put the milk into a large pot filling about 1/3, add pandan leaves. Remove foam when necessarily and bring to boil for just a few minutes. It tends to foam and overflow, so make sure the fire is low and your're there watching the cooking proces.
